The best you’ll ever find! This is in no way an overstatement, this Seminole Red 1959 Cadillac Serie 62 Convertible looks and drives as it just came off the showroom floor. Only 46,000 original miles, amazingly preserved Pennsylvania car that has been body-on restored to the highest level. This car has been in the Netherlands since 1978 and remained in a private collection as the crown piece. It has always been in excellent condition but in 2012-2014 it has been taken to the next level.
This Cadillac has an all original, unwelded, rust-free body, frame and floorpans. Clean, straight body with high quality repaint in its original color of Seminole Red (paint 50), the paint is absolutely flawless.
All chrome has been replated by superior specialists in Sweden and it is the best replating of chrome on any Cadillac we’ve ever seen.
All stainless steel trim and moldings were buffed to chrome-like shine, including small items like bezels and emblems. The original hubcaps have been buffed and look like new!
The interior has been reupholstered in original pattern and colors (trim 28) with beautiful leathers. The convertible top has been replaced in the correct material. The original radio has been adapted to AM/FM and a period correct automatic record changer is mounted under the dashboard (plays 45 rpm singles). Everything is in beautiful shape and everything works — yes, that includes the clock.
The engine and trunk compartment were untouched and are all original. Under the hood you still can see original factory markings!
This striking ’59 convertible drives like only a low mileage original does. The 390 C.I. V8 is in excellent running condition and it drives smoothly without any issues. Equipped with E-Z-eye glass, 6 way power seat, fog lamps and after market record changer.
